🔗 Jira Integration in Casebase

CASEBASE AND JIRA WORK HAND IN HAND

1. Is there a Jira integration in Casebase?

Yes. Casebase provides a native integration with Jira Cloud and Jira Data Center.
It allows you to link use cases with Jira Epics, synchronize field data, and display all issues that belong to the Epic directly in Casebase.

2. Who can set up and use the Jira integration?

Setup: Only workspace admins and moderators can activate and configure the Jira integration.

Use: Once the integration is active, all users with edit permissions on a use case can access the Jira features within that use case.

3. How does the Jira integration help me in Casebase?

The integration connects strategic use case management in Casebase with the operational execution in Jira.
It offers the following features & benefits:

🔁 Casebase → Jira (Use Case → Epic creation and synchronization)

  • Create new Jira Epics directly from a use case
  • Synchronize title, description, and other mapped fields

Benefit: Less manual effort and a consistent handover to development teams.

🔄 Jira → Casebase (Reverse synchronization via webhook)

  • Updates to the Jira Epic (e.g., status, text fields) are automatically synchronized back to Casebase

Benefit: Reduced manual updates and a unified information flow between both systems.

📋 Jira Issue Listing (Display issues inside a use case)

  • Shows all child issues of the Epic directly inside the use case
  • Includes status, issue type, assignee, and direct links to Jira

Benefit: Full transparency on implementation progress directly in the portfolio context.
