βš–οΈ Basics

  • Users can invite other users with the same or a lower role.
    • Example: A Member can invite additional Members or Visitors.

    • Example: A Visitor can only invite other Visitors.

  • Roles can later be adjusted by an Admin.
  • To send invitations, the email address of the person to be invited is required.
  • Invitations are always tied to a specific workspace.
  • Invited persons will receive an email with a registration link to join the corresponding Casebase account.
  • The registration link is valid for 7 days and can be resent afterwards.

πŸ‘₯ NON-ADMIN TO USER

  • Invitations are valid only for the current workspace the user is in.

  • Multiple users can be invited at once, provided they are assigned the same role.

  • Invited users will appear in the invitation list within User Management.

  • Admins can invite users to multiple workspaces simultaneously.

  • Roles can be adjusted later.

  • Admins can resend invitations at any time.

πŸ” Accounts with SSO Integration

For accounts with Single Sign-On (SSO) integration, no separate invitation for registration is required:

  • Users can log in directly via the login page.

  • By default, the Visitor role is assigned upon first login, and can be changed later by an Admin if necessary.

Alternative option:
  • Invitations with a registration link can still be sent in order to assign a specific role directly to the new user.
  • On the registration page, the option β€œLogin with SSO” should be selected. This option will be shown if the account has SSO integration enabled.
